Officers responded to a suicidal subject barricaded in an upstairs bathroom. After approximately 45 minutes of attempts to reason with the subject, officers opened the door and extricated him. The reporting officer observed a large open wound on the right forearm, removed an ETQ from the IFAK, and fastened it high on the arm. The officer stated that the ETQ "worked flawlessly." Fire and EMS transported the patient to the hospital.
